What is Tweet 250?
Tweet 250 is a tool that helps you discover the most talked about brands on Twitter.
How does it work?
Tweet 250 uses the Twitter API to help track information on the world's top 250 brands by following the relevant brand key word, such as 'Nike'.
Why is it called Tweet 250?
We are measuring the world's 'Top 250' brands. You get the 'tweet' bit, right?
How were the brands chosen?
Limited science at this point. They tend to be one of three things; big, global, cool or all three.
What if I'm interested in a brand that Tweet 250 doesn't follow?
If you can't find the brand you are looking for, drop us an email and we will then start to track it.
How can I use Tweet 250?
There are lots of ways you can use Tweet 250, but you might want to try the following:
- Type in the name of a brand that you are interested in and press enter. You will then see the results of your search displayed as a graph.
- You can then compare your chosen brand against up to four other brands and have their results displayed alongside your original brand.
- You can also check back and see how your brand is performing and sign up to our newsletter for updates on the weekly Top 10.
Who would use Tweet 250?
Anyone can use Tweet 250, but it may be of particular interest to anyone who works within marketing and more specifically those interested in 'word of mouth' related to any brand. We imagined it would be used by brand owners and managers, advertising, PR and digital agencies.
What if my brand doesn't get talked about much?
Don't panic. Not everyone likes being talked about, but if you want to create more buzz around your brand you should think about developing a social media strategy.
Who is behind Tweet 250?
Tweet 250 was developed by Grand Union, a leading digital agency based in London and their sister agency Hubbub, an expert in social media content and distribution.
